Hi, I’M MEG.

I live in West Hartford, CT with my husband Chris and our baby girl Nell. We love classic American style and bickering about whose turn it is to unload the dishwasher. Glad you stopped by!

Serena & Lily Sale

Serena & Lily Sale

I don’t typically post about sales (especially with #noshop19) but many of my favorite home pieces are from Serena + Lily. They tend to be on the pricier side so I wanted to share while they were on pretty significant sale (20% with code GOCOASTAL).

My favorite item from them is our coffee table (kid-friendly, removable tin top, lip to stop any spills… brilliant) but there are several other items I like to buy from them.

What I recommend:

CRIB SHEETS! They are SO soft, these are the only sheets we buy for Nell’s crib and they still look brand new. I think they are fairly affordable considering it’s the only linen you need for a crib. They also have a ton of great gender neutral options which can be hard to find.

Pillows: SO random I know, I don’t even remember how I started buying them from here but C and I are both picky pillow people and we LOVE them. We’ve had ours for 4 years and they are still in great shape.

Bar Cart: This was our first S&L purchase and we’ve used it for a million different things. It’s sturdy and a bit longer than most so I find it easier to style.

Beach Towels! Our friends have always sung their praises and it’s true… super absorbent, great size, and cute patterns. I’d send them to be monogrammed (of course :)

What I want to buy: We moved our bed under a window so I’ve had my eye on two options from them that have a low headboard. I was leaning toward this one because it’s versatile and has a footboard but now I’m reconsidering and loving this one as I loved our old upholstered bed (but of course it’s twice the price…). I also love these two dining chair options as I’m on the hunt for two end chairs to anchor our dining table before I decide on a fabric for our seat cushions.

What I don’t buy: Lighting (soooo pricey), dressers (same reason), wall paper (I’m terrified of wall paper and I find their patterns are really popular so I see them EVERYWHERE. I’d rather buy from a wall paper specialist with more unique options), and mirrors (hard to return if you don’t like it and I find them to be really expensive).
